The whole court date business is to collect money. There was one case when there were so many people in court for somehting and they collected $ at the front door, before people went in through the metal detectors. My wife paid her fine and got out in 15 mins.

When it comes to Cops word vs Your word, judge takes cops word. You lose.

When it comes to Faulty instrumentation - gauge said 55 but real speed was 60, for example - you were still Actually speeding. You lose. (In Australia)

It costs you time off work ($$$) and or other $$$ to fight the ticket. You lose even if you win.

If you agree to tell the Truth you can only tell YOUR truth. Court sees differently. You lose.

By turning up to answer the case you admit it is Your case to answer to (you would never attend a case that wasn't yours would you?). Your agreement of Understanding is an agreement to Stand Under their authority. A Summons is only an Invitation but your acceptance of it indicates guilt. You lose.

ALL courts are actually private corporations designed to make $$$. You lose.

If you choose to fight then have your speedo calibrated/tested to make sure. The calibration/test print out is your Proof but costs YOU $$$. (Even if you win it costs you money.)

Never admit to Understanding as it signifies your agreement to stand under - and they need your agreement.

Learn their Legalese - words may be the same as English but have different meanings and your ignorance will trap you in their jurisdiction and verdict (law dictionaries help here - there are free ones online). And it's ALL about jurisdiction and your willing subjugation to their jurisdiction. They are skilled at getting you to willingly enter their jurisdiction and to subjugate yourself to their Punishment for something that caused no harm or loss.

I am not a lawyer or attorney nor do I practice one on TV or on forums. Google the above points - may need to look at Freedom sites to find indepth answers - because if you choose to enter their word you need to come prepared, they do this for a living.

Because, Josh, you can only ever tell Your Truth - the truth as You see it. They see it differently, even if Your Truth is The Truth. And they need you to verbally swear or sign as such so as to enter a Binding Contract with them,  for which you will be found to be in breach and fined accordingly.

Think of Martha Stewart. She agreed to tell the truth that she did Not inside trade. They see it differently - thus she failed to tell the truth - and punish accordingly.

If she had NOT agreed to tell the truth then there could be no Contract entered into with the Judicial System on THAT ground.

Look at your tax return. See the signed Declaration at the bottom? People get done for tax issues because of that signed declaration which is a Promise that you have Declared the truth.

Watch Border Security. When they nab someone with Food at an airport they Always show them the Card and their Signed Declaration. Go against the declaration - your signed agreement - and you have broken the contract with them. Fined. (Now you know why they need that card signed and not just ticked and handed to them.)

If you did not agree to tell the truth they cannot get you for not telling Their Truth.

If you never admit to Understanding (Under Stand = Stand Under) you are not Contracting with them and agreeing to abide by their punishment. To you and me "understand" is taken as "Comprehend" but in Legalese it is not. That is why you Always hear cops ask "Do you understand?" when arresting people, talking to people, etc. They may quote some Ruling (as govts are also registered corporations the ruling is really just corporate policy) and then inform you of your breach and ask if you Understand. Say yes and you are agreeing to stand under the authority of that ruling.

Imagine the scene where the cop stops you, quotes some written policy at you and asks "Do you understand?" You think the cop is asking for your Comprehension but they are not. What if you said, "I comprehend the words you are saying to me but I do not agree to stand under their/your authority". Without causing Harm of Loss (which is common law) you have done no Actual Wrong, have you? There is no Injured Party with which you can face-to-face, is there?

Never swear to tell the truth.
Never admit to understanding.
Never sign anything.
