Bike sat 1 year, now it dies at 1500-4000 rpm, runs fine otherwise.

My GS sat for about 10 months.  I got it back and was able to get it running, but under 4K rpm it would sputter and die.

I pulled the carb apart, found one of the small (idle?) jets was plugged.  Cleaned that.  All else appeared ok, I also lubed the slides, adjusted valves, cleaned and gapped plugs, put in fresh gas.

Bike idles great, but if I give it any throttle it sputters and hesitates bad just like before.  Moving the choke makes the rpm wander around, but I can't ride the bike unless I keep it over 4K rpm.

Another clogged jet somewhere, or air passage maybe.  Check fuel level too.

totally. pull your pilots out and blast the carb with carb cleaner and compressed air until it runs right.

Bored to 79mm, Honda Hurricane forks, Lowered 1.25" front and rear. Shinko Podium 006 120/60 front, 140/60 rear. Lunchbox, Fart can, 42.5 pilot, 3.5 turns, 152.5 main and 2 washers. Everything else is either stock or broken.

Blasted out the carb too, but I guess I can do it all over again.  Might need to drink heavily though first before I bother with the bike again.

All 4 jets are fine.

I'm not sure how floats would go out of adjustment after sitting 10 months, the bike ran perfectly before that.

I would suspect the petcock, but if that was clogged, I'm not sure how the bike could rev to 5000K, unless maybe it's intermittent, it basically rules out a fuel supply problem.  I'll double check by running the bike in prime, on, and reserve anyways.

Sorry, when I said "fuel level" I meant the level in the float bowls.

Yeah, I was just saying, as far as I know the floats are adjusted by bending the tab on the float, but the bike ran fine before and those haven't been changed.  I don't mean to sound ungrateful, I'm just kinda pissed off right now that I spent all that time fussing with it and it's still not rideable.
