Hi everyone,  just thought I'd introduce myself to the other Australians who read this forum. I'm new to riding  and I've had my GS500 for about 3 months. My husband's a rider from way back and we live on Sydney's Northern Beaches. The GS is a good size for me but I have a female friend who is only about 5' 1" tall and she's struggling to find a decent sized bike (engine size that is) that she can feel comfortable on. I've read some stuff on this forum about having the GS lowered. Anyone here had any experience with that? Also I read on here about the Buell Blast being a good size for the vertically challenged. Does anyone know if they are/were sold into Australia and how much one would cost second hand?

Hello Roslyn and another warm welcome from a fellow GS rider.

If you looking to add some riding K's – please consider Net Rider (http://www.netrider.net.au).

On May 25th a ride was organized and titled – "Learns Southern Round Trip III"  ... 80 riders turned up ... and among the learners a bunch of experienced and advance riders. It was a fun and totally awesome day. You can read all about it @ http://www.netrider.net.au/forums/viewtopic.php?t=51650

There is also a bunch of NetRider's living in the North Shore ... I am in Neutral Bay

Cheers
