motorcycle stand

Hey guys/gals.

There was a thread i read where someone said they got a front and rear stand set for around 120 or less.  I thought it started with a T ..but now i am not so sure. I tried to search the internet but i cant find it.. can some people here inform me what stands they use ..

I dont want to spend the pitbull price.. there has got to be some good stand out there at a decent price.

It sounds like you have it all figured out, but I already started to formulate my response before I finished reading the whole thread, so you're getting it anyway...

I used to have a front and rear stand, sold them when I sold my last bike since the GS has the center stand. Anyway, I had a pitbull for the front, and a random Suzuki one they had at the dealership for about $70 or so. The only reason I got the pit bull for the front is because I wanted one with the pin that would stick in the steering column to lift the front end and still be able to remove the fork legs. I bought it before I realized that replacing for seals wasn't a constant thing, and the GS just happened to have a bad one when we bought it. It was a nice stand but not needed. The rear was cheaper, and it worked fine for repairs. Next time I buy one I'll probably end up getting a nice rear stand, and a cheap front, since I'm more likely to leave the bike on the rear for days at a time, and the front is usually just for tires changes and stuff like that. I'll just get a normal front one to lift the front by the fork legs too. If I really need to lift the front of the bike, I'll just use a ratchet strap from the hooks I put in the ceiling, and a jack under the engine. I'd also like a stronger rear stand for when I'm sitting on the bike, which I did more than I thought I would when I was working on the bike if I had to try to position the handlebars or anything a long those lines. It would be nice to know that my weight, or the weight of the bike after sitting on the stand for a week isn't even going to be an issue.

Anyway, let us know how to T-rex stands work out!
