Go to a dealer or accessory place and try Both boots on. If they feel ok ASK if they'll let you sit on your bike with them to see how they Feel - leave your helmet and other footwear behind, and for additional piece of mind for them just wear the left boot (the gear changing boot). I've found that different boots have different thicknesses and some are easier to change gears with than others.

Make sure you try on different brands and sizes too. I've had different comfort levels from different brands in the same size.

There is no rush to this so take your time.
