Bad Roads!

I absolutly love how the DOT has not a care in the world how dangerous they make roads for motorcycles and dangerous intersection for all. Here are some pics of John Young Park Way in Kissimmee.

This is the intersection. Notice the Emergency traffic signal. How hard would it be to program it as A stoplight~


If you look at this one that is about an 8" deep grove that goes right in the middle of the road as you are trying to turn into  55mph traffic. I don't think you can see it but there is a three foot across hole right next to it. Put your foot down and break your ankle!

politicians can't put their names on a pothole. Once mayors start stamping their names on road work it'll be done a lot faster. As of now, we do get brand new garbage can holders once every 4 years, because those you can stick your name on.... even if it does cost the tax payers $1010 per can.


Hmm... I bet you could get a good contract with your city if you started producing little "This pothole repaired during the ........ administration" plaques.

I agree completely!  Colorado is notorious for wasting our tax dollars on never ending projects that never make it easy to drive in a vehicle let alone a motorcycle.  I am glad I have a Jeep as I would be very pissed to hit the pot holes and grooves we have in a car.  It is insane here!  I gripe about it all the time.

What Miffs me the most is that this intersection "used" to be fine it was three lanes either way. They had nice long turn lanes into the complex. Oh did I mention there is a motorcycle dealership at this intersection also. You know they just love letting their expensive Victory and Kawasaki motorcycles go out on test rides right now. Guy almost dropped a Victory Hammer trying to get out!  They used to have their own entrance but now it is just a muddy sink hole! This is supposed to go on until 2014.

Now the reason as to why they are doing this. About a 1/4 mile down the road is the Osceola Parkway which charges you $1.75 to go four miles but there are also six traffic lights. Everyone started boycotting it because it wasn't any faster. Instead of listening to the people and doing away with it as a toll road they decided to build an overpass. From the looks of it though it isn't going to solve the problem it was intended to!

I'm Fed up my lease is up on the 3rd and I'm outta there! Not gonna deal with this for five years!
