Sprocket uncertainty. Help?

A few days ago I ordered new sprockets and chain from my local suzuki dealer. They came in today, and the rear sprocket and chain look right. The front sprocket, however, has two bolt holes throught it and a raised section around the center hole. Part #jtf516.14  Did I get the wrong part? If so, is it still usable if said raised section was ground down?

I appreciate the link, it at least assures me that JT thinks it is the right one for a 95. I am just concerned as to why this one is so different from the one already on my bike. When I expressed concern and asked what the holes in it were for, the parts manager said those were the holes to bolt it on. Wtf? I am pretty sure that my sprocket is only held on with a circlip, as there are no other holes in it. I also read in another thread where someone got a sprocket for a later year model and had to grind down the raised part to make it work on his older bike. Anyone got some answers here?

It's the right one for a '95.  The holes are there for another bike, Kawasaki maybe.

The 89-93 GS500E models had a narrower sprocket without the hub and the one ground down was for one of them.  The tapped holes in the JT516 sprockets are for another application and not used on the GS500.  I'm currently using a JT516 on my 02 GS and it fits properly.  All of the GS500 front sprockets for all years are held on with only the circlip.
