i'm just gonna say i married a woman with a kid from another guy. and our "problems" that arrise in our marriage actually don't stem from that situation at all. but hey, every situation is different.

My long-term GF has a daughter from a guy who had the common courtesy to drop off the face of the f'ing planet after he knocked her up. 

I've got essentially a four-year old stepdaughter to go with my four-year old daughter. 

I count myself lucky.

Like i said, i dont like to whine but ive already had to chased him out of my house with a baseball bat, about 10 grand into a custody battle, being stalked, he is a meth head and cant even feed my step daughter besides 1 slice of pizza for 3 days, beat his girl friend infront of my step daughter, hasnt paid any child support ever. About 15 grand more to go to court in dec and then we might possiblly be able to move to take care of my folks. DHS wont do anything besides make reports saying he is a danger to her. Just is all kinds of stress. And me and my wife are hard working and do not get any government support and never have. Been a step father since 3 and she is now 10. Even she thinks her real dad is a loser. Dont get me wrong i love both my wife and step daughter, but folks the drama and having to live you life around a different man is not something you want to sign up for.
