Having ridden a Tuono, I can tell you that unless you are a highly competent rider, you will probably not be comfortable on one immediately after the GS.

Yup. I'm just a big negative nancy here to kill your fun. You young whipersnappers and your motory-bikes. Where's my cane? I need help getting out of my rocking chair. I'm such a debbie downer.

Well... from what I gather (across the intertubes and television) Aprilia makes bikes that are uncompromising in their beauty and performance, like the other Italian motorcycle companies.  I think that @ $7999 ... that is a good deal.  I would love to have an Italian bike.

It probably isn't far off of what Alpha says... this bike is probably not as easy to ride as the GS, but to be fair, I doubt that there are many bikes that are.

Depending on your financial position and the number of miles you ride you may want to look into maintenance costs before you buy.

My advice is to get a new license under an assumed name then buy the Tuono and ride it like it was meant to be ridden. Nice bike.

Yeah, repair costs on European bikes can make you hate life, but the ride is great. The nice part of buying them new is the warranty! It was the only thing that kept my Triumph on the road.

Anyway, that sounds like a pretty awesome deal. What's MSRP on the Tuonos? I need to find a deal like that on a Brutale. I'd even settle for the 750!

What year is yours? I just checked the new ones out online($1300!)....

They kinda look like a poorly chopped up 2000 zx6r stunt bike. The built in turn signals even make it look like it has a wheelie bar, haha. Not doubting that quality though. The old ones looked awesome, which I'm assuming yours would be, if you're getting that kind of deal on it.
