I cant help my self about a week ago a vibrating noise started to occur when reeving my engine, so i came to the conclution 2 days ago that the gas tank was vibrating againced the frame, well i was right. I pulled the gas tank off and the gas tank was indeed in contact with the frame right by the front of the gas tank at the C locking thing. Well that problem was solved and i reassimbled the gas tank. The next day when trying to leave for work I put the chock on and tryed to start the bike. It was hard to start and when it was started it would idle very low in choke @ 1000 RPM i tryed giving it some trottle to warm it up but everytime i gave it trottle it would stall. I pulled the tank off again and tryed reinstalling it but it will still not idle corectly. What might i have done wrong?

I pulled my tank a couple weeks ago to replace the clutch cable and when I put it back on I had a similar problem.  It was first running on one cylinder and when it died it wouldn't restart.  Turned out the gas lines were binding and held in place and when I lowered the tank in place it bent and shut off a line completely.  With bike on sidestand right upper carb ran out of gas first and it ran on one cyl until the other ran out.

Your low idle and balking on throttle sounds like a GS running on one cyl.  Make sure your fuel lines are hooked up right and not binding or pinching anywhere.  Don't know your year, here they all are:

I have had my tank off at least a dozen times, and everytime I reinstall, I have the exact same problem.  at least I remember to turn the upper petcock on though!
