Today I was walking the park and right around closing time this family walked up to me to ask directions to the nearest restroom. As I was about to tell them the little boy looked at me with a sad face and said "I miss my daddy" "Where is dad?" I asked "He's in Iraq" you could hear the sadness in his voice. I said " I wish your daddy was here too. But, you are a strong young man!" He was like "really' "UH-HUH" " Well I got this tiger face painting to show mommy that I'm a strong guy" "No doubt about it!"

I gave them the directions to the restroom. And thanked the whole family for their sacrifices for our country. Everyone gets so tied up in thinking about the soldiers but seeing that small boy almost ripped my heart out! So, if you know of a family with military oversees thank them tooo because their sacrifices are big too!
