What's wrong with my bike?

So...about 3.5 weeks ago, I started having a dying battery issue. No prob, I thought. Battery is about 3 years old anyways. One of the maintenance guys at my apt. complex happened apon(sp :dunno_black:) an ES12NC9 ( :dunno_black:) if that's the code to the battery. It was a bit slimmer and taller than my old battery but seing as though it was 12 volts I didn' t think that would be a problem. The only real issue was that the terminals were vertical. So I install the battery and for about a week or so everything was good. Then I started having the same problems that I was having with my old battery. My bike hasn't started on it's own power in about 2.5 - 3 weeks.  I have to push start it everytime. I have checked the terminals and they are connected. Everything seems to be plugged in...I'm at a loss. You guys have any ideas?

You have a problem in your charging system.  Use this to find it.

The starter relay would cause a problem like this? What about the battery not charging? I'm thinking it might be more to it than that.  :icon_confused:

instead of speculating whether it is charging system or not why don't you just check it?
if you don't know how here is a hint: multimeter, 20V, black to black, red to red, Rev above 3000 RPMs, meter should read 13.5-14.5V.

good luck
