Looks good.  Don't know about crash worthy, but nice.

If it helps, jackets don't have to be bad to deal with.  I usually just lift up the seat and put a sleeve across the frame.  When I click the seat back down it makes it impossible to get the jacket out without destroying it.

looks pretty cool..i like it.

i personally have this corrazo jacket to wear when it's hot and I don't want to wear my full leather alpinestar jacket. Looks like a plain old d*ckies jacket or something, but it still has all my armor underneath.

neat hoodie, and the second one really does look like a dickies jacket.  i couldn't use the second one because lapels bug me at speed.

i bought the motoboss swift at cycle gear because i need the storage to ride without a backpack.  plenty of places for phone, wallet, keys, mp3 player, door remotes, etc.  also, it was cheap and had armor which is big upgrade for me.  i've ridden for far too long on a 80 mile roundtrip commute without armor plates.  belstaff utility at a tenth of the price. linky: http://www.cyclegear.com/spgm.cfm?L1=&L2=&L3=&L4=&item=URI_MBTX-JKT-GB-2X_G

aside it being completely worthless in a crash - it costs 5x what it's worth.

100 bucks ? hell that's almost a cool pair of boots, real gloves, or a new tar !

Yeah, it looks cool, but that's way too much cash for a sweatshirt, even if it is waterproof. Just wear a $20 sweatshirt and get a really thin windbreaker that will stuff under your seat for $10. I know it wouldn't be waterproof, but neither will that $100 sweatshirt be when the water starts running up the sleeves and down your collar at speed.

and just a warning....  You'll get attacked on here for suggesting a commute without real gear. Even though I don't care, I'll admit that if there's one time you're thinking about skipping out on padded gear for convenience, the time to do it definitely isn't when it's raining and you would need waterproof gear anyway.

I think the idea behind that is to wear it under your jacket, thus allowing any riding jacket, including mesh ones, double as a rain jacket.
