So last year a few of us bought these really nice Stebel Nautilus air horns right. Well about back in January mine went bad. No big deal as it was still under the 12 month warranty........... Not I have been trying to find warranty help but there is none in the USA. Finally Stebel sends me an email last month with the phone number of a guy named Joe and I called him. Tells me no problem and to try a few things out before anything else. So I try a few things out. Call him back 3 weeks later and tell him that the horn still doesnt work. So all this time this guy has me thinking that he is going to either fix or replace my horn. Well I call him today to ask were to ship it to and he says ok but I have to charge you for the horn. Wait...you want me to ship you my horn and you are going to make me pay for a new one? After about 4 minutes of excuses on how the seals are dry and thats why it doesnt work and that there are no authorized distributors for this horn in the USA except him but he doesnt sell to general public I tell him to "forget it and lesson learned".

just a heads up

STINK ! thanks for the headsup of yet another company that doesn't care about service/warrantees or repeat customers.

also, i predict 100 questions about
"hey what headlight is that ?"
"hey, what exhuast is that ? is it titanium ?!"
"hey, is that a b-king !? "
"what kinda oil do you use?"

A stock horn?
You need a hearing aid to hear the stock one.

Harbor freight sells that exact (Ok maybe it's a knockoff...dunno ) horn....well it's really close..probably made at the same place and just labeled for each different "manufacturer"...

They go on sale sometimes

I have one in my truck (it's a good bit louder than the Nissan's horn - even under my hood...no room behind the grill....). It's been there more than a year and working fine (now that I've talked about it -- it'll break today..Heh...).

Did you use it regularly? I've had mine sound like it was stuck once-- making some noise but not loud- think it was cause the engine was off and my battery might have been a little weak possibly... low air flow....

Good luck....

WAS? As in seperated?

The best way for revenge on an ex is to post some pictures.  lol  j/k

Stebil is a non-US manufacturer..  I don't even think they sell to companies in the US (I could be wrong).  Many companies that don't sell in the US don't have warranties here.  Makes sense to me.

Sucks for the consumer that decides to find one though.

That sucks.

Over here in the UK, when things go bad under waranty we just take them back to whoever supplied it to the customer, they have to deal with it.

Only exception to that is when you buy something as a second, or B-grade, then the warranty is direct with the manufacturer.

I have 4 stebels, one one each bike and one on the car, not had any trouble with the horns themselves, but the relay's they send with them are crap!

My bandit alarm has a remote start function, but I wired it to the stebel relay so I can blast people as they walk past,  :nono:

I have the harbor freight one in my car, it works nice, and i beleive it made in the same town as the Stebel horn.
