Allright so my gs is a 97 so obviously the frame has developed some rust, nothing too serious, no flakes, but I want to stop the problem before it gets out of hand.  What would be my best option? Sanding and repainting the whole frame?   Getting so type of spray on clear coat for the frame so i dont have to worry too much about taping of the engine and other components? or any third options?

Id like to try to avoid haveing to take everything off the chasis and painting it that way if I can help it.

i would say it depends on where and how bad the rust is.

if its just a couple of little spots then you could use a rust remover like jenolite. the areas will still need prepared and painted afterwards.
for any larger areas you may have to consider stripping some if not all of the parts in order to do a good job.
