Won't idle, even with choke

I've recently started having problems with my '08 GS.  Even when I open the choke, to warm it up in the morning, the bike just drops RPM and dies.  I have to hold the throttle open for a a minute or two before it'll take, and even then that doesn't always work.  The idling problem persists even when riding; when I come to a stop, if I release the throttle, the bike stutters and dies.  Just to keep the engine going at 1.5k RPM or so I need to keep the throttle open a bit.  Help?  Is this a carb issue?  I don't know what to do    :dunno_white:

It can be, but usually a leaking intake will want to idle high when hot.
You could just have had the idle screw back off from vibrations.

If it misbehaves like needing to be revved @ startup ... when cold but works perfect when hot, you may need a valve adjustment.

Cool.

Ok, I'll see if messing with the idle screw helps, and if not then I'll figure out what to do from there.
