Some say - he has been posted about on GSTwin.

And if you were to bounce the stig on a trampoline, he would bounce exactly 1 time and come to a perfect stop with a flat trampoline.

So who is it ? any one have a guess. Or know ?

My guess - He's Mika Hakkinen.

Cool.

This info comes from a friend of a friend who works for the production company that makes Top Gear here in the UK......BTW Clarkson is too tall and nowhere good enough  :dunno_black:

There are several Stigs. The whole annoymous/emotionless. non-speaking "Stig" concept came about because the makers of the supercars they feature on a regular basis were not prepared to let anyone other than their own test drivers take their very expensive cars out on the track. When you see the latest Fezza, Lambo or Mazza blatting round the track its some bloke from Italy wearing the white-suit/lid. When its an MB or Beemer its someone from Germany, Lotus and it will probably be a Brit etc etc. The producers came up with the idea of disguising the driver and making them appear as the same person in an attempt to make everything seem equal and fair to the viewers

Ben Collins name was mentioned in the HSE report that followed Hammonds jet-car accident as a racing driver/stunt consultant and he plays a major part but if you study footage its pretty obvious from the differences in height/stature/gait etc that there are several different people playing the part. Tom Chiltern Nigel Mansell Martin Brundle Mark Webber and Damon Hill are all known to have all taken a turn.

Then of course there was this episode......http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifrtlC4NTys  :D
