...Caught your chain? Happened to me yesterday. Somehow it caught the chain and broke 4 links;neither the master; and left stranded on the side of the rode. Chain was adjusted perfectly....   :dunno_black:

Center stand caught the chain ?? !!   Is it possible the chain broke first, then slapped or wrapped or caught the centrestand on its way off the sprockets?  Or maybe I don't quite understand what you think happened.

Short answer: Nope, hasn't happened to me (hope it doesn't, too).

Never heard of it happening before. Sounds like a .05% chance of ever happening again. Hope you didn't get hurt.

In the mean time I'd check to make sure your centerstand isn't sagging or anything due to a worn out spring or anything like that.

Do you have the OEM exhaust? is the little centerstand stopper still on the exhaust pipe?

I don't have an oem exhaust but I did zip tie a small 5/8 block to it to keep it from interferring with the chain.(

+1. Even if it touched the chain, I can't see it "catching" a chain that was not already broken. I could see the chain rubbing a big groove in the centerstand where it touched, but I can't see the centerstand catching/breaking the chain.
