controls - where the hell does this piece go ?

after cleaning things up on the throttle side controls, this is left over:


so, where the hell does it go ?

Its freaking tiny right, about the size that will be covered by your thumb.
I've seen em in chrome or gold color, but never in black, but its is in the swicth assy to hold down wires ... that front part that looks like a tab sorta sits in a slot and the other holes are for screws to get them secured down. I wanna say lower 1/2 but I have not split it in a few years so dont recall 100%.

ya- it's galvinized

ya - i figured it was for holding down the wires for the bottonm side, but it doesn't quite fit anywhere. it just kinda fell out of the assembly when i was seperating the two halves.

oh well, i'll secure the wires to the body with a zip tie like it was before and just ride. well, i mean, kinda ride, if i ever find the electric gremlin it has now. god this thing never will be right.


the starter switch contact was corroded to the point of green was the minor color, and brown was the major. ugh.
