Did the bar end get pushed in and is now rubbing the throttle tube grip?

If it fell on the throttle side then eiter the bar end is pushing the twist grip into the bike causing it to keep from recoiling back or the grip itself is pushing up against the shutoff block. Try freeing these things from eachother a little and see if that works.

this is my guess and if it is wat do i do? =( because the bike dropped on the end of the bar no dmg was done to anywhere on the bike so whew

If that is your problem, loosen the bar end and pull it out from the grip until the throttle snaps back freely.

The troubleshooting process at this point should be quite clear.  If it is not clear to you, you should take it to a reputable mechanic.

yeah, do what those guys said.

Also, next time you try to get you bike off the center stand, make sure that you do not stand next to a bike!
Rather you should have your both legs over the bike (just like sitting on it, but have both your feet planted on the ground)
Should be easier and safer to do it this way  :thumb:

Did you notice how heavy GS gets when it's falling over?? I had to catch mine once (used to much front brake maneuvering on dusty garage floor heheh) and I was like, ohhhh sh!t, she's heavy  ;) I weigh 155 pound, but the adrenaline kicked in very fast and she barely touched the floor  ;)

I don't think I've ever tried getting it off the stand while I was on the bike. My legs aren't long enough for the business. I always just keep a finger on the front brake, and give the bike a good push, as soon as you can feel it tip past the balancing point of the center stand, but before the back wheel is on the ground I just grab the brake and stop it. Once you're at that point you can let the bike down nice and controlled as soft as you like be controlling it with the brake. I also sometimes will put my right foot on the center stand so when the back tire hits the ground, you can keep some weight on the stand and the bike won't be able to tip over. Otherwise as soon as the wheel hits the ground the stand will just spring up. If you get both wheels on the ground and still have pressure on the center stand with your foot you can make sure you're pulling the bike towards you before you take pressure off the stand.

Make sure you put the sidestand down before hand too!

If you think the centerstand is a pain, just wait until you try a rear stand someday. It's just like taking a bike off the center stand only you don't get to do it while you already have a good grip on the handlebars. You get the back wheel on the ground and have to try to balance the bike with one hand while you pull the stand out of the way and then get around to the side of the bike to set it on the sidestand. Very awkward. At least the GS comes with that grab rail which helps. I've always had to do it just with my hand on top of the passenger seat.

one had on handle bar other on either grab bar behind seat or frame rail under tail section.   :thumb: theres no way i could ever get the bike off center stand while sitting on my bike.
