I have just finished a complete rebuild of my GS500E and am at the point of putting petrol into the tank for the first time. Do I need to bleed the fuel system to get fuel into the carburettors? If so, how do I do this?

Thanks.

Simon.

You can put the petcock on PRI and open one of the float bowl screws to make sure its flowing if you want... But other than setting it on PRI for the first start, you should be good to go.

Thanks Scott PA - the problem was the idiot putting the bike back together. I had forgotten about the main valve under the tank - turned that on and hey presto the bike started.

Cheers.
