any good clocks for motorcycles?

i need something i can put on my bike to keep time (why is it so hard to include a clock on the bike from the factory?!?  :x ). has anyone found anything that works particularly well, even at night? i'd like to find something i could wire directly to the bike.

I put some sticky-backed velcro on the handlebars, and a matching piece on the back of an old Navy-seal wrist watch (they're so bright, you can alomost read by them), but any large-face, bright LED watch will work (no band, of course).  No wiring, just pull it off and replace a button-battery every 2-3 years.  Crude, but functional.

I took an old heart rate monitor/watch (rubber-like band) and simply attached around the front master cylinder. you could do the same with a Timex I suppose.

I just have an old Timex triathalon watch with a velcro strap that I wrap around the handlebar between the mounts. Works great for me, even stays put suprisingly.

Unless I'm riding where there's streetlights, it's not much good at night though. You could always reach down and hit the light button while you're riding along, but that could be dodgy.

I had mounted a Sigma Sport Bicycle computer to the mirror of my old bike.  Worked great, but no backlite.  Plus the speedometer was more acurate, and it had max/average speed, plus trip time.

Probably overkill for what you need, but it was sitting in the garage with no where else to go.

I just use a large face digital watch velcroed on. I found one at walmart for about $6 (and water resistant) that had a large button to press to activate the light. Easy to use while wearing gloves.

www.aerostich.com has a few different mounts for wristwatches that attach to the handlbars, and allow the watch to be removed(#2632,#2143), the also have some small watch faces that can be attached to the bars also, there not very big but may work for you (#4230)

It cracks me up that a clock turns out to be a really, really useful item on even the simplest little motorcycle.  You'd think they were about as necessary as bright pink tires.
