Anyone know of any that will work?

Think they would look great on my gs500f but was just wondering if anyone has all ready done it and found some that work well? I see a ton of aftermarket mirrors with the turn signals built in to them but don't want cheap cheap versions.

Thanks in advance!

Some have done GSXR mirrors.  TooGoofy and Galahs, I think.

Here is my installation of the GSXR signals. they do quite well.

I have these and they are very close to the stock position and fit in the stock mounting holes for the f model.

They were simple to wire as i just spliced them in to the front blinkers and now have both the led blinkers in the mirrors and flushmounts up front.

I haven't found any loss of visibility in these mirrors over stock.

I'd just do the GSXR mirrors honestly.  then the signals are bright enough to be seen clearly, you dont end up with crappy mirrors either.

I made the mistake once of buying some $20 mirros with integrated signals at a dealer,  they sucked somethin awful and the signals were just BARELY visible, even at night.   if I'd known that much, I would have said screw it and bought GSXR signal mirrors on ebay.

Thanks for the advice! The Shock Racing mirrors look to be pretty decent quality.

Anyone have any luck with flush mount turn signals? I saw on the wiki on how to mount some I think it was but anyone know of any decent ones that fit without modfication or at least minor mod?

Thanks again!

I got my Gixxer mirrors for $10 off of ebay! But, it did take me some time making mounting plates etc...

would you like to sell them to me for 250% of what you paid?  ;)
I just checked ebay and there are none to be purchased for less than $70... :(

What can I say once a decade I get lucky LOL!  I am curious though is there anyone on here that can make some mirror blank out plates? I'm sure I could make my own with the left over metal that I used for the backing plates for the mirrors but they took forever by hand!

Those are the same dimensions as ours. I would think not being that the gsxr mirrors didn't fit into the mirror holes. Someone said that the SV mirror plates would but haven't researched enough. Right now I have the mirror brackets screwed in the holes to keep vibrations down.

those mirrors look pretty cool. are you saying that these were a direct fit basically to the f model? or was there still some modification required?

bassmechanicsz

The shock racing mirrors will bolt directly into the factory mounting position with what is included with them.  I however found the bracket that the mirrors attach to from the stock mirrors to be better built and ended up switching out the end of the bracket out since the ones that come with the shock racing mirrors are plastic and the stock ones are metal and that involved a little bit of grinding and some washers to be added to make a tight fit but you can easily just bolt them on with the plastic brackets that come with them and then you just need to reuse the 2 bolts to attach them as the ones provided i believe were a different size.  Once i dig my bike out of my garage i will take a picture showing them on the bike with the other flushmounts i have for the front blinkers.  Maybe this week depending on how much snow melts.
