Well, after a two day ride I finally got here Saturday night.  The trip SUCKED.  The bike was sooooo uncomfortable with it's drag bars and high footpegs.  Hell, the damn thing wouldn't keep up with traffic (I bet my big 9 would!).  But the ride was pretty.  I-10 must be the most beautiful road I have traveled.  And most parts of Orlando look great.  Anyway.....  I would have posted sooner, but the internet here is a bit slow.  So, thanks to all the well-wishers.  I needed your support for this one.  Before I go back, though, I'm buying a goddamn GOLDWING!!!

And Mary, yes, please PM me, as long as you don't laugh when you see the little POS!  I am amazed this old delapidated thing made it.  But now that it is here, I am gonna bore it and install new pistons/rings and also install an '06 head that my buddy has lying around.

Glad you made it without too much trouble.

How fast was the traffic?  I made a 200 miles-each-way trip to Atlanta at an average of 80.  No problem keeping up.  Rode 2-up with stock gearing on an 80 mile trip last spring at 75 mph, no trouble passing... didn't even downshift.  'Course the passenger only weighed about 60 lb. :)

The speed limit means nothing to these poeple!  I was doing 80-85 and getting blown away.  This engine is WEAK.  Iver 46,000 on the odometer, and surely more on the bike because I rode it for a while with no speedo cable.  My friend Russell and I run the piss out of it.  It really needs help.  That is why I couldn't keep up.
