Hi all, I'm looking for a jet kit for my stock ( oem intake/Oem exhaust) 2007 gs500f. The factory jetting is on the lean side, and I can tell by looking at the plugs. Anyone know where I can get a jet kit to fatten it up a hair?

Lol..correct minimum? Ok..

I think by correct minimum he means you will get the right jets for your oem parts? meaning the smallest yet most effective change you can do for your stock parts?

Yep well I'm a cheapo on bike performance.. I don't care to make mine faster. I'd just get a jixxer or a cbr if I wanted that.
I don't like the leaned out crap. I work on small engines now and then, and we almost always drill the jets out on the japanese engines because they run so lean and surge and cough from the factory. Imagine how bad it gets when trash gets in there. Kawasaki has the biggest pos carbs possible on theirs out of all small engine manufacturers.

My jet pack is just about rich enough so that it wont act up in summer on the hottest day you have, and it will run without feeling lean on the coldest day of the year. I'd say from 20 degrees to ~100 ambient, and most of the ranges of humidity you get in continental US.
I wont say its super rich, its not lean for sure. There have been several 1000 I have sold, come on post up how did it work, when cold, hot etc ...
I've run it in 20 though 100 degree weather, but then again I adjust it without even thinking about it cos I sorta know how to tweak it and when ...
Cool.

I'll post up how it works. I deal with hotter weather in middle ga, so that's good to hear. Don't think I'll be riding in 20 degree weather, or above 100 degree weather. So 30ish to high 90's will be just fine.
I'm in the process of removing the stripped lead-metal screws that are holding the caps on the carbs. The mikunis I work with all seem to have that aweful, easily stripped Phillips head that takes vise grips and a screwdriver to get out.

Yep, probably going to make it a writeup..I found when I got them off while waiting on Buddhas kit something that should be checked on. Just waiting on buddhas kit.  :)

Invest in a decent impact driver if you are going to be working on bikes a lot  :thumb:

Or invest in a decent JIS screwdriver set.  Those aren't Philips screws.

Yep..figured that out a few days ago after realizing that all of those screws shouldn't have stripped.
