just wondering if anyone knows when the 2004 will hit showrooms, can't wait to buy one. also is the v&h full system and rejet expensive? easy to do on your own? i'd appreciate any help

As for when they hit the showrooms call your local dealer to see if they een have any on order.    If there is little or no interest in your aera then your local ealer might not decide to bring the GS500 in for 2004 line up or might not be in rush to do so.  

I would guess a v&h full system and proper jet kit could cost you close to $600 or more installed.  

If you decide to buy a new GS500 talk to your dealer and let them know you have plans on doing some upgrades and see if they might cut you a package deal.

$600 seems a tad steep.  I'd say you could get it done for under $500.  Shop around.

I'd say the 2k4 models should hit the floor in Jan or Feb.  Just a guess.

When I worked for a Yam/Suz dealer in MI  I think we got our new bikes in late Feb or early March.  But they would usually stay in the crates until April when the snow started to melt.  If you dont see one on the showroom floor, ask if they still have one in the crate.
