Now I'm not really the kind of person to get all pissed when someone steals from me. Though my escapades were limited to taking whatever I could get from Wal-Mart, I stole enough in my youth that if I were to be mad about it, the good Lord would strike me dead. There is a bit of frustration when it happens, but resignation usually follow close behind.

However, there is something to be said about the failure of thieves. When something is so easily handed to them, yet they still fail, you have to wonder...and I get mad about it.

Last night someone tried to steal my GS750. They got the bike out of my driveway, rolled it up the street to Chicago Ave, dropped it, then I don't know. They stole the keys and now my MINT tank has a dent in it from them putting it on the ground. They at least stood it back up...less than 50 yards from my house.

So basically the bike is full of fuel, fully charged, and has the keys in it...and they only made it 50-yards. Some people shouldn't be breathing...let alone trying to steal something that's going to require at a modicum of intelligence to operate.

ohgood

Maybe they were smote ? Even better, imagine the fun if you installed a disc lock and a video camera. Lol

The mediocrity is the best part.  If you can't steal a bike with gas and keys than you might need to reconsider your endeavors.

The mascot of the GS500.. The creature that's got the biggest ugliest a$$ of them all.
A wombat. It's got a big ugly a$$ too.

Haha, that's hilarious. Sucks big time about your keys and gas tank though. 99% chance he didn't know to start it, but decided he'd just figure that part out once he got home. Sucks you're probably going to want to change the ignition now as well, because he's got time go look up "starting a motorcycle" on google, or even sell the keys to some kid and say "these belong to the gs750 down the street". I hope it was just the motorcycle key and not your house/car keys as well.

just the bike key...I'll disable the ignition and replace it this weekend.  I'm going to sell the bike so I won't be too worried about it.

You're assuming they can figure out how to turn on a computer now.
