GS500F Turn Signals

  On my first ride I managed to fall over twice, once to the right, once to the left, at about one-half-mile-per-hour. I'm a klutzomaniac, I suppose. Both front turn signals got pushed through the fairing. I need to repair this and my Haynes manual doesn't say much about the turn signals at all. Any ideas? Anyone? HELP!!

Pretty much the exact same thing happened to me after I bought my bike, I dumped the bike and the right turn signal got pushed through the front fairing. My temp solution was to replace the front turn signals with some flushmounts from my local bike shop, and it covered the hole for the most part (there's still a gap visible on the top and bottom of the signal, but I put some duct tape behind the signal before I mounted it so it doesn't look too awful. I'm planning on replacing the fairing soon, but until I find a decent one I found this to be a okay temp solution, and I like the flushmounts a lot better anyway so I'll install them on the new fairing as well.

Other people on here have successfully patched their fairings but you will almost be garunteed to paint them afterwards or live with the discoloration around your blinkers.  Depending on how badly you destroyed your fairings you can install flushmounts and do as tyhko did.  Pictures of how badly it is will help people to give you better advice on patching them also.

I just found my left turn signal pushed through the fairing.  What's worse, I've only fallen on the right side (while parking the bike).  So this got pushed in while IN MY GARAGE!!!  Turn signal isn't broken, but fairing is cracked.  How did you guys fix that, just fiberglass kit?  Was taking it all off a pain?  I've swapped out my windscreen but not taken off the fairing yet.  How embarassing...damage to the bike while in the garage.  (Yes, hubby's bike was parked very close to it...no, he's not admiting anything).

I recently replaced my stock signals with different ones.  If you are in the market for 4 stock turn signals (from an 09 F) PM me.  They are in mint condition.

Been there - done it - fixed it.
Took off turn signal and popped plastic back in place. Plastic weld on inside (FYI: its plastic, not fiberglass). Did apply new decal to outside that didn't have a tear in it. Never happened again because I put on R&G crash bobbins. Now they take the impact if she falls over rather than the turn signals (yes - did tip in the drive after I put them on and zero damage).
Even before the repair, with the plastic popped back and the turn signal put back on, you could hardly tell it happened.
