At the risk of upsetting the "everything's better by mailorder" paradigm, have you even tried a local dealer? While some do seem to enjoy ripping folks off, others actually can be a very good source of parts RIGHT NOW (or pretty close to right now) without all the mail-order shipping crapula. When I needed a front sprocket, my local dealer had it in 3 hours for the same price as mail-order, and the tax on it was far less than shipping from mail-order would have been.

I don't deny that sometimes, depending what's out there and the particular thing you are looking for, mail order can beat local shopping all to heck - but sometimes it doesn't.
