So I went and checked out this bike the other day, seems to look good and run good. Only 729 actual miles too! One owned which was a girl so you know it hasnt been ridden too hard.  ;) Anyways its below blue book value and coming from a dealer. Almost seems too good to be true I need your thoughts and opinions. Cant wait to be apart of the forums for good if I do end up purchasing the bike today. (I will delete this thread after today)

Thanks!

Now for the important part.....

Looks like you would have a good deal if everything is solid.

I looked at it a few weeks ago, I thought I was a good price...   If I recall, it has a small crack on the right hand side in the upper fairing...

To think, I was going to go in this weekend to try to pick that up...

One concern I had was that he is a auto broker that usually sells to dealerships and buys from them but he is selling this one on the side....hmmmm?  :dunno_black:

He mentioned that one of the Salem dealerships was supposed to pick it up, but why they didn't, I don't know...

I never noticed a crack in the fairing although he said the girl may have tipped it while in the garage or drive way because he replaced the lever and there is the slightest scrape on the casing.

Why do you say....to think you were going to try and pick it up? Were you pretty interested in purchasing it?

I was looking at that one, one in Salem, and a gsx650f in Sublimity...

:thumb: Looks like a good deal to me.

And I wouldn't worry about it being dropped.  Seriously, does anyone own a GS500 that has not hit the ground at least once?

Bought mine brand new from a dealer 2 years ago, so I can say mine hasn't EVER hit the ground.

Mine looked exactly like that...16,000 miles later and it looks NOTHING like that now   :icon_eek:

haha my bike has been on the ground so many times it's ridiculous(not by me though, for what it's worth)

It does look like a good deal.

commuterdude

I've dropped mine three times.  Once getting it out of my truck when I bought it, once in my garage learning how to put it up on the centerstand ( it did the slow fall away LOL), and once pulling into a parking lot space with too much right steering lock, my bad lol.   Nothing broken just a couple of small dings.   Now the P.O. rashed up the right side pretty good...it's always the P.O. haha haaa.
Attack but have a back up plan
