Couple weeks ago, rode the bike into work, developed a nasty flat spot in the throttle, to the point of not running when I tried to get it home.  was able to limp the bike home on "Prime"

bought a house so I now have a place to work on the bike, problem is, I need to limp the bike there.  Unfortunately leaving the bike on prime causes my carbs to leak and considering I have an aversion to setting my legs on fire or otherwise exploding, can the reserve setting be used to work around the vacuum issue ?

thanks

I believe ON and RES work with the vacuum system while PRI is gravity fed.

Do you have a friend with a pickup truck or a trailer? either that, or ride it on prime.

I think your carbs will only leak on 'prime' if the bike is not running, you should be fine if you're riding it. They'll only leak when its running if the needles and seats are totally stuffed or blocked with rust/debris.
