Ok guys here's my problem. I have very limited funding but the weather is incredible and I'm missing good riding season. Does anyone know of a gs (don't care about the year) for sale for cheap? I mean cheap cheap. All I ask is that it runs. Anyone care to help

Norcon

where are you located?

whats your price range?

Just keep checking craigslist.  At least in the SF Bay area, there have been a lot of good deals lately.  Here's one for just $870!!

I'm located in Alabama but would be willing to travel. The $870 bike is right in my price range just a little too far away!

I'm looking to sell mine as soon as I get it running. Is Dallas TX too far?

Moemoney

how much are you selling it for? I've never been to Texas so it might be worth it just for the sake of experiences. :)

What part of Alabama?

I'm in Mobile.

I live up in birmingham but I head to pensicola pretty frequently. Have you got a bike for sale?

I really haven't decided. One moment I want to sell it, the next, I want to keep it. I just can't decide. Shoot me a pm and we can discuss. Everything is always for sale, right?  O0

I just got it fired up yesterday after going through the carbs again (had to replace some o-rings and washers where the pilot jets are). It's not running like it should yet, because it needs to be tuned. It does run though. I'd like to get around $900 for it as is. The more I work on it, the more the price will go up though. All details listed below:

1993 GS500EN (Clean title and registered in TX, but not in my name. I have the PO's signature on all paperwork, and it is ready to be transferred.)
Odometer reading on the title states Exempt. Bike states 27k I think? I'd have to double check...
I just changed the oil & filter.
New NGK spark plugs
I bought a charger to test the battery, and it's holding up fine.
New black clubman handlebars. The original handle bars looked like they were damaged from the bike being dropped at some point.
New choke cable.
New clutch handle.
Recently rebuilt and cleaned the carburetors.
The starter motor was rebuilt right before I got it, and I installed it.
Has a "lunchbox" K&N filter
Has Vance & Hines exhaust (Could use fresh paint)

To do:
Locate small oil leak. It's a very slow leak, and is not dripping off the engine. I haven't opened the side covers yet.
Needs battery holder
Give a good cleaning
Paint on the tank and fenders isn't too bad, but there are some chips, so they could use some fresh paint.
Rubber on the left peg needs to be replaced.
I have a new set of brake pads, but I haven't checked the condition of the ones on it now. The brakes work well though.

If you have any questions let me know. I tried to cover everything. I'll take some pics if you're interested.
