So, I'm selling a few games from my Nintendo collection. 
(Did I mention I have a test cart?   )

I'd rather have a really meaningful, soul-soothing trip to the mountains.
My future grandkids would probably pawn it all for dope, anyway.   

I list my collection on Craigslist.  This guy writes me, greatly interested. 
I write back.
He writes back.  But, this time he says he doesn't like Nintendo games. 
Weird.
Then, he says he'd give me $5 to $15 per cartridge because my collection sucks.
Even weirder.   
So, he doesn't like them, but he knows which ones are bad.  And what a n00b would probably sell them for. 

So, I play dumb.
I ask him which ones he wants.
I tell him that my Dad died, and they were his.
I have to pay for college because I don't want to get a job, I say.


He writes back:

GMail identifies him as "Kenneth Bowen".
There are about a dozen Kenneth Bowens in North Carolina, with listed phone numbers.  They're all old men, pissed because they had to walk to the phone.
Futile experiment, anyway; he's most likely using a cell. 
And, he could be anywhere within a few states, still within driving distance.

He's not the brightest, but he's above the bell curve.  Bowen isn't his real name, then.

GMail doesn't list Sender IPs. 

Cancer's killed 4Chan, so no help there. 

My state-trooper buddy moved away, so no more freebies.

I apologized (though, it leaves a horrible taste in my mouth). 
Told him to tell me what they're worth, and I'll let them go.  Said my girlfriend wants an iPhone. 
That's the trigger-line for scammers.
Maybe I'll hear from him tomorrow. 

What irritates me the most - - he's too dumb to hide that he knows the collection ratings, yet pretends to have values. 
That's like a cannibal using toothbrush.

This is exactly why I stopped collecting, if anyone's actually reading this.  

Most of the games you see on Ebay are fake.  
The shrink-wrap is too thin.... the hang-tabs are oxidized with solvent and UV lamps...  
I've even seen scotch-tape, once.  
It's getting harder to spot, but you can still catch it with a little homework.  

What REALLY gets me is - they try to f*ck you coming AND going.  
Who ARE these guys?

BTW I wouldn't call fleabay prices as true value ...
Fleabay has 10% or that sells. They charge listing fees when you list.
Fleabay prices cannot be got on CL, mainly because your CL competetion is people who sell @ garage sales and thrift stores and flea markets. Flea bay also has guarantees etc etc ... it cannot be busted when it gets there etc etc ...
I love it when there are listings on craigslist saying this stuff sells for a gazzillion and I am asking only bazillion ... and it sits there for months.

Face it, Its CL, it sells cheaper but its held to a lower standard and that would be why you want it on CL. Atleast there is no return shipping price you have to refund.

BTW your game homei is crap, but I'd give you 10 bucks for it cos I like you ... yea ... bring it over now, cos on top of 10 bucks I aint paying you shipping either ...

I've honestly never sold anything on Ebay before, though.  My wife's the master at it.  I'll have to recruit her help... and listen to the subsequent nagging.

WTF is going on here. You have too much time on your hands. Why waste anytime or energy going back and forth. Set your price or just fleabay it.

It looks to me the issue here is personal and you are causing yourself more stress than it should be. There are all types of people in this world. Just deal with it and move one.

Why even meet up with a loser like that. With all the built up tension one of you is likely going to jail after the meeting over...nintendo games.

I dunno about nintendo but some of the worst audio crap happens on fleabay ...

There is this clown who bought a amp off ebay to replace one that died after 2 months. That amp died in 2 days, and he blamed the seller and got him to reverse the charges, and shince shipping was nearly 1/2 of the cost, the guy said, dont ship it back. Of course a few weeks later the dude kills a third amp and he trades some stuff including the speakers to someone else for another amp.
I come by after that, and I agree to look @ one dead amp and the payment is the other dead amp.
Turns out the speakers he used were shitty and were dropping impedance to near 0 and kill both amps. Great, I fix both of em. I keep one and give him the other. but the seller loses big on fleabay.

There is another fool who sells working crap on fleabay. No question, they work great, they look great, he ships em well, beautiful. So what is the problem ... I bought a few dead amps from the guy for 1-2 bucks each, and believe me, 3 days in the sun, and 8-10 hour+ long rides wiht them in the back of my truck in the open bed, barely got the stench of cigarettes out of em. He used to smoke some seriously shitty smelling cigarettes. WTF ... you'd never think to ask "how does your amp smell" when you buy it off fleabay ... how can you even complain ?

I would never buy a damn thing unless I can touch it unless its covered by a 100% cash back including shipping no questions asked. been screwed enough to know that.
