I finally got my first modification done on my GS, the signal lights work great.

Did you use load balancers or a new flasher to compensate for less draw?

The mascot of the GS500.. The creature that's got the biggest ugliest a$$ of them all.
A wombat. It's got a big ugly a$$ too.

I didn't do anything, just plugged them in and bolted them on. Nothing else. Why? I noticed they flash quicker, that isn't a bad thing is it?

Idk if it's bad for the flasher or not. It flashes quicker because the LEDs draw less current than regular bulbs. The flasher then flicks back and forth quicker. The load balancer adds resistance so that the flasher sees the same current going through an works normally. The led flasher us made for the low current draw of the LEDs and so flashes at the correct rate without the increased load on the electrical system.

i have LEDs on mine, and i actually like the faster speed, and other bikers who have riden behind me have said they like better as well, and that they're very noticable. that might be because they are very bright even for LED's but also cause theyre faster

I guess as long as I don't keep the signal light on and fry any wires I should be fine, but I do like the quicker flashing myself.

I dont think you have much to worry about. There's a slight chance the flasher module might wear out a little faster but they're really meant to last the life of the vehicle in most cases. Some people dig the faster blink and others dont. Your bike looks good too with the smaller turn signals.

thanks, they weren't expensive so if i have to replace them then I have to replace them.
