Finally went over 600 miles. Trips out of town have cut into my riding time. Ready for initial service. Most of the bolts were marked already, so it will be pretty simple to tell if they have moved any. It's a 2006 and according to the wiki it is well out of warranty. Is there any reason I shouldn't just do the initial service myself?

I dont see a reason not to do it yourself, change the oil, and go through the bike, making sure every bolt and nut is tight.  if yuo have a service manual, it should be a pretty simple procedure

99 katana front rim swap
vapor gauge cluster
14 tooth sprocket

sv650 rear wheel
sv650 tail swap
gsxr pegs
