Hey all..
I'm absolutely retarded - I've been having trouble starting my bike and haven't even ridden it yet.

At one point just while revving the engine, I walked away without realizing the petcock was on PRI and I left it like that overnight.

Can someone please tell me what steps I can take to try and correct any damage I've done?
I already noticed that the bike is having idle problems after doing this.

Also - my oil light is on.

So before I start really attacking anything or checking carbs I was planning on changing the oil.

If I change the oil is there any chance that the damage I did might effect the new oil as well (obv making it pointless to change it now)

I don't think leaving the bike on prime should cause any permanent damage.  I've done it before and it hasn't been a problem.  I think if the seal in your carbs fail it could overflow the float bowls and you'd have gas all over the place.

Is your oil light on all the time, or just before you start the bike?  Did you check to see that your bike has oil?

It's not really clear what "damage" you've actually done.

Check your oil and the air box. If the needles don't seat well in the carbs gas will bleed by to the motor. If the intake valve is opened on the leaking carb the cylinder will fill up. If the intake valve is closed and the drain for the air box is clogged it can fill up the air box. This just happened to my bike.
