What exactly is Storm Trooper armor for?

The Storm Trooper uniform is designed to De-Personalize them to those who they are controlling/fighting. As a LEO, for example, if you Look like a machine it sends a different aura then if you look like Joe Bloggs from down the road.


For storm troopers, is also hides the fact they are Clones.
