Hey everyone. I just recently signed up to these boards. Ive been reading a lot of threads and topics here and found a lot of them to be insightful, educational and sometimes entertaining.

Ive been riding for a few years now(Im 23) but had to sell my gsxr-600 due to the final year of school being too costly. But I finished school last year and missed riding way too much. So I picked this up earlier this year. Sure, its underpowered compared to my old bike, but still very fun and enjoyable. I am considering giving this to my GF and buying a 750 next season.

Did some cosmetic changes when I bought it. Didn't like the tacky stock theme.

The red Chinese character loosely represents 'Immortality/Sky'. Im kinda superstitious. Also have a little plush super mario star hanging off the rear view mirror in my 350z. haha

Welcome. Very interested to hear what you did to the tank and front fairing. It came out extremely well assuming that's some kind of stick on coating.

Very nice! Interested in your technique too!

Looks good mate. I've been talking to my vinyl guy about wrapping my E in the same product. He did the roof and mirrors on his Volvo V50 wagon and it looks amazing...love the raw carbon texture

At the very least I'm going to use it for accent panels/stripes. How well did it lay on the tank? He was really concerned about getting it to lay down in the corners etc...I'd love to see some close ups of the edges/etc

Nice job on the wrap. The character actually says "heaven" lets hope you don't have to go there too soon....

'Heaven' is 2 characters in chinese. The character I use is more in a spiritual meaning. But the character can mean many things.

I used 3m Di-Noc Wrap. This stuff is gold.

Can it mean... Flat Top Hair? That's what it looks like.  :icon_mrgreen:

it's your bike so you can do whatever you want, but i hate that fake carbon fiber - what is that, vinyl? - everybody knows it's not carbon fiber.  just looks tacky, especially since it only covers some of the bike. my $.02, no offense of course

I like the faux (<fancy huh?) carbon-fiber, of course real would be better but major expensive. to each his own

Nice dude!
Just shows everyone has different tastes, but I'm feeling it.
Actually looking to put some vinyl on my naked GS. Was it hard to stretch it over the tank?

mister

Vinyl and stretch makes me think...

Just got to watch for wrinkles on the curvey bits

And when applied right...

Of course, MCs are different  :thumb:

YES seriously how the hell did you do that? How much do you think it would be to wrap a tank and rear fairings of a naked GS? I'm just trying to compare prices because I either want to repaint or put that stuff on but to be realistic i'm just going to go with whatever is cheaper cause i'm strapped for cash ATM.
