Does anyone use a bike pump for their GS? Thats what i have at my apartment so if i can save a trip to the gas station i figured why not. I have used it on car tires in a pinch.

I think you'll get a pressurized tire and a huge arm!   :icon_razz: :icon_razz:

But it works, why not? Bike tires run a pressure a lot bigger than cars or motorcycles ones.

Sure, I use my bicycle tire pump on my motorcycle tires all the time. Just a few pumps get me to the right pressure. It's a lot easier than pulling out and connecting the electric tire pump. Car tires, on the other hand, have much more volume, and take forever to pump up 4 of them with a bicycle tire pump.

Yeah, bicycle pumps work well.

I use a bike pump.  they are cheaper, lighter, quieter, and easier to deal with then an electric pump.  I even use mine on my car tire thats got a slow leak

Yeah, it's not so bad, even for car tires. For the GS, it's something like 2-3 pumps for every 1 psi in the back, and maybe 1-2 in the front. So for topping off its perfect. I use it for car tires too, although there it's more like 10-20 pumps for 2-3 psi. Still, for topping off, its much easier than getting out an electric thinger. And you don't have to be a giant, I'm 5' 6" 120 lbs...

Twism86

Well i didnt have to use it, tires actually had a few psi extra.

What psi do you guys use for normal street riding? I have mine at the recommended 33F/36R..

Nah my friend will pump a flat tire all the way up, like 4-500 pumps. ive never tried it though so I dont know how hard it is. My 6'5" 270lb (mostly muscle) friend does it so I assumed it took a giant.

I run 34-35psi front, 37-38 rear for regular riding because it is the most stable at high speed (100mph+), yes I go over 100mph almost every day.
when I plan on going way-to-fast-on-country-roads I run 32 front, 34 rear for increased traction.
