Problem starting bike

So I decided to ride my motorcycle to work on friday.  I have onwned the bike for about 2 weeks and been riding almost everyday with no problem.  After parking my bike outside for the day, I go to start it up and the bike does not start.  It sounds like the relay just clicks really fast.

What could this be a sign of? I thought a relay should just click once, not repeatedly.

I mangaged to bump start the bike and ride home and then everything seemed to work fine. I just dont want to risk being stranded somewhere, so I rather replace somthing now rather than later.

You didnt leave the parking light on did you and kill the battery did you? Its just a little click past lock and ive almost left it on a few times. Sounds like a dead battery that didnt have enough juice to turn over.

that could have been it, but when was trying to start it the head light would turn on and didnt seem dim. 

If the battery was dead could it click repeatedly?

Yea when you turn it to LOCK, its just one click further. Hmmm i could have still had enough juice to run everything buy barely to turn the starter. Thats was just my guess, hopefully nothing it actually wrong. Just be mindful of that parking light

Parking light is something I've done, too, but not long enough to drain the battery. First day I had her I wondered why the brake light stayed on. Then I remembered the park position of the key. It is easy to accidentally do that.

As the turn signal light and others are hard to see in bright sun, I paralleled super bright LEDs in the inside front of the fairing. Now I have left & right turn indicators that I can see as well as an LED showing the parking lights are on. Being that I usually walk away from the bike to the side (and don't look at the front or back) the LED inside the fairing is easy to see and know that it is in the park position or if the key is in, that the key is turned on. They look good and everyone likes them.
