The little "peek" window on my front master cylinder rotted out, for some reason I got the urge to touch it and busted the thing. I also managed to strip the screws trying to get it open, so I'm just going to replace the whole unit.

I'm looking for basically everything enclosed in #1 here:

I ordered from a local Suzuki dealer, and now a week later they're telling me it's back-ordered from Suzuki with no ETA.

Hoping someone has one in good condition and can priority mail it to me.

Thanks!

Oh man. a week too late. i just lost money on a whole front brake setup on ebay because the kid who won them lived in argentina and the cheapest shipping was $53.

Even worse, I got anxious and tried to repair it. I managed to get it open and repair the sight glass and everything, and then when I went to mount it back on the bike, I overtightened the bolts and snapped them. FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU.

I think she's trying to tell me something. :|

There are a few on ebay right now.
Here's the auction number for one:  160393490753
Search on "GS500 MASTER"

I have one that's in nice shape, PM me, I'll double check when I get home and maybe I can get it out tomorrow.

Thanks. I've been monitoring eBay but haven't seen any in "good" condition. I also PMed ecpreston and am waiting to hear back.

Still need this part - it's still on back order and no one seems to have it in stock. I'm losing precious riding days! :(

It just popped into my head that I *still* never got back to you. Are you still looking for one? If so, I snapped a couple pictures and can email them to you if you like. This one is a complete master, lever, and brake line, and I *think* it's off an '06 if I remember correctly. The part number changed in '04, but I don't know what really changed. This one would fit my '02 fine if I needed it. I could ship it out tuesday.

there is a company up in maryland or va area that sells a glass replacement for 15$. I think Buddha is who showed it to me.

Looks like I am in the same boat. The wife asked what was leaking, and it was the window. Upon trying to remove the cap, you guessed it, broken screw. Of course it wouldn't give up with a left handed drill bit or by any rotational force. Drilled it out to tap in a 10/32 machine thread and that must be some funky alloy. Does not take well to a tap. Think I can patch her up, but am in the hunt for a good M/C assy also.

Thanks for the offer, but I ended up scoring one on Ebay for $31 shipped. Just got lucky I guess.
