Really quick carb question

A really quick one but I can't find the answer anywhere. On carbs where you can move the needle clip what is the stock position for the clip? its a 2000 set of carbs, i.e. the one with two jets not three. All other equipment is stock.

the 3 jet carbs do not have adjustable needles, I dont know about the older carbs. my guess is the middle position though. Sorry I cant help.
