Finally got all the parts installed. Rode to work yesterday. Adjusted speedometer sensor today and all is right with the world today!

Bought a new chain and sprockets, but won't put them on until next weekend probably.

Swapped the original shock for a kat600 shock that was barely used (100 miles according to the P.O., idk about that, but it does look new).

Many thanks to slipprymongoose and cojastal for their video on youtube, very enlightening.

Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

XLAR8

Revved the bike to 8k for the first time today, t'was quite fun (it's taken me over 1k miles to gather the courage, lol).

Also, got the kat shock in the mail that I was waiting for. Will do the swap sometime this week or weekend. It's all pretty 'n new.
Damn. I shift at like 9500..

Around town I rarely shift above 5,500  ;)

Yeah, I rarely shift above 5k. Anything higher is incredibly loud, so the only time I really do more than that is when I'm in one part of town where the sound reverbs and I want to hear my bike.

I rarely shift outside of 3800-4500 >_>" Unless I suddenly need to accelerate quickly or som'n. The bike vibrates a lot between 6k and 7k, too.

Guess I'm just boring, haha.

Installed Suzuki DL650 (VStrom) hand guards to keep the wind off my hands in cold weather. Took some trimming and thought but got 'em on there and they look good, IMO. Pics to follow.

Got a split second to mockup the project for some much needed motivation and dreaming;

More like "What do you wish you could've done to your bike today???" since I'm working mon-fri out of another office

Of course. Finished late at night and wanted to get to bed. I'll take picks and post directions as best I can after the kids hit the sack.

Just come in from taking the rear apart, cleaned the chain and have the sprocket and hub (bearing removed) soaking in the parts cleaner tank so they can be powder coated tomorrow. Then the new new rear rim goes on.

Brought it inside to my sunroom so I could actually wrench on it.

Looked at it while I fixed my son's 2 bicycles that I got for free.

Greased the chain, and fixed the inner tubes.  Just like new...the bicycles that is.
Bikeless and Broke at the moment...

BockinBboy

Okay Gaffer, you showed it... I'll bite... where did you get your rear seat cowl?
