Prices are $4.50-$5.50 depending on who.
Well worth replacing those hardened black rings. What a difference!
Loosen the gauges. Pull up a little. Remove old ring then slip the new one over from the front. Pretty simple.

Awesome!  Thanks!  I've been hunting that number for weeks.

worked on my gauge a little bit, finally got the vinyl work done. Just trying to make it light up a bit brighter so its comparable to the oem one with a strip of leds in place.

Installed Pro Grips 719s, and Napoleon Bar End Mirrors.  I'll get some pics later this week, it's been raining all day!  :bs:

Yesterday I took it for a decent spin.  Running pretty good.  She feels really flat between 4-5k, but from what I understand, that's natural on these bikes.  I need to pull the plugs and see if she's running lean/rich, since I haven't really got her fine tuned yet.  Homework first, bike second!

Nothing quite as annoying at night as a car with White headlights. They don't illuminate any better, just annoy those in front and mess up your night vision.

In related thread news.... lubed the chain after clocking up 50,000 clicks on my bike.

Finally replaced the tacho drive unit and cable.

Along with replacing the broken cheap chinese stator with a 2nd hand oem unit. (It works now!)

Sorted out some wiring issues too.

The other (better?) half wasnt too happy about me working on it inside.. but it was cold outside..

Put LEDs in Phenix's indicators and gauges. (See project section)
Applied power to the electrical system and the lights came on!  :woohoo:

IT'S ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Adidas,

Keep a look out on your LEDs. I swear Flick just hates indicator lights. The speedo light went out burnt through metal wire that makes the connector  :dunno_black:

Haven't had any blow or wiring problems.
Have you checked Flick's voltage? Maybe bad regulator and high voltage is frying things. Let me know if you need a new regulator.
PS: Got indicator and gauge wiring if you need a replacement.
Could the wiring have gotten pinched somewhere around the steering stem, causing a short?

Well I didn't do much but Unsane Cleaned my carbies and rejetted my bike.
He installed a k&n air filter and then sawed off my exhaust.
Thankfully he replaced it with a screaming demon mtgp450 which changes the gs into a beast.
Haven't had a chance to see if there is any difference in power and I'll never know exactly as my clutch has slipped since I bought the bike a few weeks ago. Therefore ive  ot been able to give my bike the full throttle yet.   That's a project for the coming weeks. but the performance boost will be huge and it makes my booties tingle lol

Thanks Unsane :)

Its the bikes that Unsane rejects that makes yours the best  :D
I'm sure you will be happy with the performance once the clutch is done Trav

Yesterday I took it for a decent spin.  Running pretty good.  She feels really flat between 4-5k, but from what I understand, that's natural on these bikes.  I need to pull the plugs and see if she's running lean/rich, since I haven't really got her fine tuned yet.  Homework first, bike second!

The picture makes them look better than they are.  But I stripped them down with aircraft stripper.  I'm working on polishing them right now.  I'll be leaving the spokes painted.  I'm doing as much as I can with them on the bike for now.  Once I order new tires and brakes, I'll finish them up.

The brakes are less then a year old (believe it or not). Make sure you put anti-squeal on them or else they will squeal like crazy (did this once and it semi fixed the problem but i only inject a little... Didnt do a proper job).

Sweet!  I haven't had a chance to check them, but they work well (the occasional squeal).  I just figured I'd check them out when I get new tires.
