Fuel Inlet Hoses

Question:
There is a top and bottom of fuel inlet hose (both connect to a T that connects the right and left sides of the carb), and my bottom hose is hooked into the selector valve for res, pri, and on.  The top one isn't attached to anything.  Is that supposed to be just left open or am I missing something?

Thanks,
Dylan

Top T section on the carb (above the fuel supply on the carb) or the top nipple on the back of the frame mounted petcock?

The top T section on the carb usually has a piece of hose attached to it, but it doesn't go anywhere.  It's just a vent, so it's fine that nothing is hooked up.

One line should go from either left or right carb to frame mounted petcock (that's the vacuum line).

I don't know anything about anything.  Follow suggestions found on the internet at your own risk.

Yeah, the vaccum line is hooked up as well as the bottom fuel intake line and then the hoses from the fuel tank.  I just had that extra hose at the top and couldn't see anywhere to put it

yeah that's the breather hose for the float bowl chamber. fuel in displaces air. very important to to keep that line clear
