So I noticed that there is excessive oil dripping for the drain line from my airbox, pulled the filter (kn) it looked clean, blew it out anyway, checked the oil level, its perfect on the dipstick, just wondering what would cause this, its coming from the vent from the valve cover to the airbox.

While in the air box i noticed the boot for the left carb wasn't sitting correct, not fully on the bottom, was that a possible cause, you can see the oil marks from the vent line, down the inside of the airbow and out the drain, and onto my exhaust

thanks in advance,
Dave

Worn out engines will typically have more oil coming from the top vent. Sustained running at high revs will also cause more oil to come outta that vent. It's plumbed into the airstream for emissions, gets burned up with the gas and out the exhaust. It'll also build up on your carbs, valves, cylinders, etc. I have mine attached to a small filter and vented to atmosphere. Use a longer hose to route it where the oil mist won't get on anything too much.
