I heard the 2010 model was fuel injected and had 95hp, and comes stock with a katana rear shock!

The 2010 GS500 is already out on the world market but none have been imported to the US due to all the left over 08-09 models here. Only a few 2010 model Suzukis will arrive here.  Suzuki Canada shows 2010 GS500F but not sure about AU market.

407,400 miles in 30 years for 13,580 miles/year average.  Started riding 7/21/84 and hung up helmet 8/31/14.

Suzuki AU site shows 09 GSF and GS naked model colors so you must have 09 left overs there too.

Global Suzuki shows the 2010 colors:

Wow, double the horsepower and a Kat shock just for the heck of it?!  Why didn't they do this in 2000?! LOL   :woohoo:

Don't know about Australia but the only 2010 model coming to the USA is the GZ250.

Edit: Street legal model that is, there are a few dirt bikes too.

Yep, I heard we weren't getting any new gsxrs or anything, in an effort to be nice to dealers who still have a lot of left overs. Luckily I doubt there was much of a difference in any of the bike.

All the Japanese sport bikes are carry overs this year with just graphic/color updates.  Kawasaki is importing the KZ1000 some what naked bike though.  It is a pretty cool rework.  That BMW sport bike is the coolest new thing coming to our shores in my opinion though   :thumb:

Matt,

Typically, the K10 will begin arriving in the country next month (Apr). BUT the dealers like to get rid of their K9 models 1st. For some dealers it can take almost a year. Others can get you a k10 around mid year. And it is certainly something you can ask a dealer to get for you - if it means a sale, they may pick up a k10 from the supplier just for you (they did with my k9).

GSJack... I spoke to Suzuki about the web pics. Notice the silver mirrors? We don't get them in Aust. The message was passed on. The image was left as is with the words "overseas models shown" put there.

Global Suzuki shows naked SV650. According to the dealers I've spoken with, the naked is not being made any more - not shown on Suzuki Au website. Suzuki is trying to push that market into buying the Gladius.

THe 2009's are so cheap I can't imagine any 2010's making it to the states any time soon. You can buy one for $4000 flat. Thats why I got mine!

Around June/July some dealers might still be trying to sell the K9s. Believe me, you can get the K10 around then. You just might need to ask and keep asking until you find a dealer who will sell you one with a 2010 build date.

Also, last year Suzuki introduced a Buyer's Bonus where They would pay your on-road costs. This still seems to apply. But be watchful of dealers trying to screw you on it. One dealer I went to last year said it didn't apply to the GS. I told him it did. And he wasn't budging on his price until I showed him Where on the internet Suzuki said it applied. I bought elsewhere.

Keep an eye on the online bike sales websites for Aussies. And keep tabs of which dealers are offering better prices. So you can be armed for when the time comes.

yes I will keep that mind I'm no big rush to buy one, I still have my Dirt bike which I can still ride.  I have had a few bikes from a XR 400, & GS500 (Which I should keep) a Bandit1200s,  V-STROM and last of all a DR 650. with me getting a little older I think it's time to come back to the road.

Just checked with two dealers that service the Brisbane market. They both offer 2010 nakeds - dark grey color. And I assume, like some others I've seen interstate, can also get a 2010 faired version. So we down here at least have some 2010 models available - the Aust Suzuki website has also updated their photos to show 2010 models.

A little later in coming to market than last year. But the 2010 models are now available down under.

[off topic - guy I ride with just bought himself a Brand New Triumph Bonneville T100 from a dealer. Brand new, not a demo. It's a 2008 model - that Had to have hurt the dealer to hold it for so long]

If you check the Suzuki US website, it looks like we won't be getting any 2011 GS models, either.

Hmmm, wonder what I could get a leftover TU250 out the door for right now.....
