so ya, can't be bikeless for long, and the parting out an old honda cb350 doesn't count as being a bike owner sooooOOOOOOO....

went n gots me a drz ! so far, i know it is tall as me, maybe a little more (love it) and it wants to wheelie like crazy, and it wants to roost everywehre. say hoodlum and smile, cause i am :-))))))

i'm not planning any modifications just yet. have to find the problems (all bikes/cars have problems, right?) and get it 100% reliable first. busted some whoolies around the 'hood on it. man it's quiet, torquey and F-U-N FUNnnnnnnnnnnn !

glad i started that thread in the FOR SALE section for a set of gs wheels.... need me some road specific hoops to play on too !!!

Did you get the SM or the regular version?

this is the regular unleaded version. the sm is still pretty pricey for what it is (my opinion).

s = eclectric barf, i mean start... and 21" hoops
sm = 17" sweet wheels, usd forks, and a cooler swingarm. i haven't found any other differences

not saying a kickass usd fork -isnt- kickass, but for the pittance i paid, i'll be fine hopping curbs and roosting with my lower tech stuff :D

yeah there's not too much difference. Apparently the SM is geared a little taller for the street as well. My first bike was an 83 yamaha xt550 dual sport. I sold it to my cousin for $200 after I bought my next bike. Always wished I had kept it and put street tires on it. I'd love a supermoto someday but just can't really justify it for the kind of riding it do. I could only buy one as a 3rd or 4th bike, and I don't have that kinda cash flow. Maybe some year I"ll buy one for a season and then sell it just for the experience. I don't do any off road riding, so I'd have absolutely no use for the dirt tires. All they would do is worry me on twisty roads.

i think the guy  i bougth this one from had an xt leaning against his double-cab suzuki samuri project. haven't seen em enough to be sure. he was sick to his stomach after we loaded it up. something about, "I know i'm going to regret selling this bike..."

today will be cleanup and inspect day. a little polish here n there... you know  O0
