Just wanted to let everyone know how helpful this place has become!  I've had my '07 GS500f since it first came out, and have loved every minute of it.  A few months ago I sprung a huge oil leak out of the left crankcase and the engine starting making a horrible rattling noise.  The bike was in bad shape!  I made a dumb decision to sell it instead of fix it and went and bought a brand new GSXR750.  When searching for the going re-sell rates for the '07 GSFs I ran accross this site.  Due to this wonderful forum I've now fixed the bike myself and am going to keep it so my wife can learn to ride (and she's going to take a MSF class of course!)

So a big thanks to all.  Please keep the posts going even after Suzuki retires this bike.  It's an awesome ride and I'm glad I get to keep it now!

So you got a a gsxr750 and kept the GS? I'd say thats a win-win. I'm thinking of getting a 750 as my next bike. I've ridden a gsxr1000 and really like the low-end on it but the top-end is crazy for street. The 600 I've heard are really peaky and gutless down low where most street riding happens. I'd like to hear more on how you like that 750.

SV1k and 650 have the good bottom end, not the insane top and they are light, lighter than the Bandit series.
Cool.

I absolutely love the 750.  It's the best overall balance for a sport bike IMO.  Decent lows/mids for a supersport and of course great top end, though I haven't made it past the 600 mile break in period.  The best thing about it over the 500 to me is that I can keep up with downtown Dallas rush hour traffic without feeling as though I'm riding the bike too hard (which is what cause the gasket issues in my GS500).  It takes a while to get used to the riding position and isn't comfortable for long rides, but I really enjoy it so far.
