Fuse block: where to add one and which one?

I want to add a small block and a relay so I can wire in my GPS and have room for maybe a connector for a heated vest. Boy its tight under the seat. Anyone wire a fuse block in there? and which one?

This is the one I've used in the past, I was happy with it:

But I haven't put one on my GS yet.  If you have an F it shouldn't be a problem to stash it under the front fairing somewhere.  If you have an E, I would put it under one the rear side panels.  Probably the side without the rectifier.  I usually do NOT wire directly to the battery, it makes for a hassle when changing batteries.  Instead I tap positive at the solenoid and ground where ever you can find a good ground point.

arrrgggghhhhh that's the one I bought and couldnt figure out where to put it. I was looking under the seat though, never thought about behind the fairing. I'll have to give it another look. I did buy a relay. I plan on having the whole block switched. So, idiotic question - where is the solenoid?

I've only had this bike for a few weeks and haven't really looked for the solenoid yet. Hopefully its not super hard to get to.  Just follow the positive battery wire it will lead you to it.

I've done some wiring on the bike now, and i found the solenoid. Its not hard to get to after you take the tail off. Its on the right side, next to the battery. But it didn't look like it was real easy to route a wire from it once you hooked onto the bolt. BUT I think an easier to get to, almost as good of place is the large power wire that comes directly from the regulator. You can tap it under the seat, its easy to get to. Let me know if you need a pic.
